Duration: 4 Week Embroidery Course (1 x 2.5 hour session per week for 4 consecutive weeks)

Over this four-week course, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of goldwork embroidery through a whimsical enchanted toadstool design. This class is a great introduction to goldwork, covering a range of techniques while giving you the opportunity to experiment with different materials and textures.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to work with goldwork threads, leather and beads, combining these materials to create the different elements of your toadstools. You’ll explore how each material can be used to add texture, detail and dimension to the design. The project combines traditional goldwork techniques with a playful contemporary approach, using rich textures and embellishments to bring the toadstools to life. Each element is carefully guided, making this a great class for beginners who want to learn the basics of goldwork while creating a charming finished piece.

Whether you’re completely new to goldwork or looking to try working with a wider range of embroidery materials, this four-week class offers an accessible introduction to goldwork, leather and beadwork.
