Join Hand & Lock for a charming Introduction to traditional Goldwork  in our ‘Ditsy Dandelion’ Taster. This whimsical design explores the use of metal wires and bullions, combining various Goldwork techniques to create a light design with plenty of character. Perfect for beginners and those looking for a relaxed, bite-sized workshop, this class offers a supportive and welcoming environment in which to explore the fundamentals of Goldwork. With personalised guidance from our expert tutors, you’ll gain hands-on experience and leave with a beautifully finished piece to treasure.

Techniques & Breakdown

This charming taster class is the perfect introduction to Goldwork embroidery for beginners or anyone looking to build confidence with metal thread techniques. With guidance from our expert tutors, you’ll learn how to use Purl Bullions to create a line of S’sing, textured loops for the central head, and how to use Pearl Purl for the seed stems. All techniques are demonstrated live, with tutors on hand to offer personalised support as you bring your whimsical floral motif to life.

How the Course Works

Technical Information

Our online courses are delivered via Zoom using a high-quality visualiser for close-up stitching. We record each session so you can catch up or revise later. You’ll also be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group, where students and tutors can connect, share photos, ask questions and cheer each other on.

Shipping Information

All of the materials for your course will be shipped to you, unless otherwise stated in the product description.

UK Shipping - Parcels will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 2 weeks to 3 days before the course start date.

International Shipping - Parcels are shipped via express courier 2 weeks before the course start date, at the latest. If you book in the 2 week window, we cannot guarantee on-time delivery.

Additional Items in Your Order - If you place an order that includes both your course and other shop items, these will all be shipped together with your kit. If you would like non-course items sooner, please place a separate order.
