Ziqi Chen is a textile artist exploring the intersection of traditional Chinese craft and emerging technologies, using material and structure to express cultural memory, emotion, and poetic transformation.

Inspired by Chinese mythology and classical literature, this work envisions a celestial realm where dreams transcend limits. Drawing from the legend of Penglai and Qing Dynasty jewel bonsai, it combines traditional embroidery with pixel-based mapping techniques, transforming over 80,000 discarded beads into an ethereal sanctuary, turning waste into wonder through innovative craftsmanship.
