Lockets were popularised in the Victorian era by Queen Victoria after the death of Prince Albert. These deeply sentimental keepsakes were often heart shaped and engraved with flowers or foliage and predominantly housed miniature portraits of a loved one.
Our Locket patch is embroidered on an antique cream colour canvas with a vintage inspired floral design including forget me knots & lily of the valley. Using silky rayon threads and metallic gold highlights, the patch is finished with a decorative gold edging.
