Discover the art of embroidery with Hand & Lock’s new collection of embroidery kits inspired by natural wonders, ancient talismans and other curiosities. Inspired by the imagined flourishing blooms within the lush canopy on fictional ‘Paradisus’, the Tropical Flora Kit pays homage to Victorian botanical illustrations, pressed flowers and natural specimens.
An autumnal palette including burnt oranges, burgundy, deep purple, hot pink, golden yellow and mossy green create this striking design. The flowers include an exotic Cattleya orchid, a blackberry lily and a rose painted calathea leaf.
A black cotton canvas fabric is machine embroidered with the base design which works as a guide to work on top of, with Goldwork, beading and thread work shading to embellish the design.
