Duration: 4 Week Embroidery Course (1 x 2.5 hour session per week for 4 consecutive weeks)

Create your own unique jellyfish! This four week course focuses on combining hand beading, goldwork and fabric manipulation to create a structured, contemporary embroidery design. Working on a navy base, you will develop a piece in layered tones of blue, purple and pink. Throughout the course you will learn how to apply beads and sequins building texture. You will be introduced to core goldwork techniques to explore how metallic elements can be used alongside softer materials. A key part of the course is fabric manipulation, including hand pleating, which will allow you to create raised areas and add dimension to your work. You will learn how to integrate these elements with stitching and embellishment so the design feels balanced and cohesive. You will use all of the different embroidery techniques to create your own unique piece, choosing the placement of each tentacle and combination techniques.

How the Course Works

Technical Information

Our online courses are delivered via Zoom using a high-quality visualiser for close-up stitching. We record each session so you can catch up or revise later. You’ll also be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group, where students and tutors can connect, share photos, ask questions and cheer each other on.

All of the materials for your course will be shipped to you, unless otherwise stated in the product description.

UK Shipping - Parcels will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 2 weeks to 3 days before the course start date.
