This Q.A.R.A.N.C Blazer Badge has been hand embroidered on a black melton base. The badge depicts the white cross with an A in the center, a wreath and the Queen's Crown. Along with the branches initials is their motto 'sub cruce candida' which means 'under the white cross'.
The Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, or QARANC, was the nursing branch of the British Army Medical Services after being established in 1881. In 2024 the corps was amalgamated to form the Royal Army Medical Service.
