Lucy May resurrects Pandora through contemporary hand-embroidered couture, challenging the pervasive misogynistic myth surrounding her. Drawing upon Renaissance anatomical symbolism, classical mythology and historical armour, Elpis combines goldwork, whitework and bespoke construction techniques to transform symbols of warfare into protection, celebrating hope as a life-giving force hidden within the feminine.
