Techniques & Breakdown

Spanning four exciting weeks, this course offers a beautiful overview into the art of goldwork embroidery, starting from the very basics of the technique. Our expert tutors will guide you through fundamental skills, including threading a needle, creating padding and working with metal threads (with tips and tricks from our tutors). Delve into the diverse characteristics and properties of various metal threads, followed by immersive instruction on their use, allowing you to bring to life an exquisite design that showcases your new found skill.

Materials & Kits

All of the materials for this course will be sent out to you. You will need a 10 inch seat frame or an equivalent embroidery frame or slate frame for this class. You will need to supply your own embroidery equipment (scissors, needle threaders, daylight lights etc) to suit your learning needs.

Technical Information

Our online courses are delivered via Zoom using a high-quality visualiser for close-up stitching. We record each session so you can catch up or revise later. You’ll also be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group, where students and tutors can connect, share photos, ask questions and cheer each other on.

UK Shipping - Parcels will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 3 days before the course start date, at the latest.
