Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery 2024 Finalists Shine at Rosenfeld Gallery, London
The Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery 2024 brought together an exceptional showcase of talent, featuring 33 finalists at the Rosenfeld Gallery in London. The event began with the prestigious Prize Giving ceremony on Wednesday, 13th November, followed by a public exhibition on Thursday, 14th November 2024.
This year’s theme, "Traces of Transition: Embroidery that Illuminates the Layers of Our Lives," inspired a stunning array of fashion and textile art pieces, celebrating the diversity and innovation of embroidery.
The exclusive judges' preview set the stage for an unforgettable evening hosted by our Director, Ben Macleod. Winners were revealed by Production Director, Alice Murrell, and each received a stunning, hand-embroidered award personally presented by our Chairman, Alastair Macleod. The celebrations continued with the Associate Awards presented by our valued Associate Sponsors, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with appreciation for embroidery in all its forms.
The two evenings served as a vibrant celebration of embroidery, highlighting its various forms and creative interpretations. From intricate designs to conceptual masterpieces, the event demonstrated the enduring artistry and cultural relevance of embroidery in today’s world.
