Santiago Celio Cioli (Santo Cielo) is a Uruguayan embroidery artist based in Germany, specialising in needlepainting. In The Uprooted Garden, he combines this detailed technique with three-dimensional stumpwork to create a layered diorama inspired by medieval manuscripts, Bosch and literary bestiaries, exploring migration through a surreal garden of symbolic creatures.
