Strawberry Thief

Anne began her career as a Clinical Scientist. After a period as a carer, she retrained in Pharmacy Dispensing and also became a self-taught jewellery and textile artist. In recent years, she returned once again to a full-time caring role, and is now relaunching her self-employed textile business.

Her wearable art piece draws inspiration from multiple historical eras, including Medieval, Tudor, Elizabethan and Jacobean. She has incorporated a wide range of techniques, including goldwork, cutwork, chipping, silk shading, stumpwork and passementerie. The overall theme is inspired by the iconic Strawberry Thief design by Morris & Co.
