Inspired by Summer days spent picking (and eating!) raspberries in the garden this class will teach you how to stitch a 3D bunch of jewel like raspberries that will last forever! The Stumpwork techniques explored in this class are Beading, Wiring, Thread Painting and a range of different stitches. The class will be run over two days and take you through all the stages of creating the Raspberry with the aim of leaving with a finished piece. However, you will be provided with the full kit from Lemon Pepper Studio including an in-depth 64 page instruction booklet to allow you to learn at your own pace too. 
Techniques & Breakdown

During this course you will cover the following, 

- Transferring a design to fabric. - Fabricating 3D shapes for stitching on out of felt. - Creating padded shapes for beading on to. - Wiring for Stumpwork leaves. - Bullion knots on a 3D shape. - Thread Painting. - Construction of 3D embroidered shapes. - Building and securing a Stumpwork piece on a base fabric.
Materials

All of the materials you need for this class will be provided for you as part of your course experience. You are more than welcome to bring your own embroidery equipment if you would rather use your own materials but everything will be provided for you.

How the Course Works

All in person courses are delivered in our embroidery school, located at Hand & Lock, 86 Margaret Street, Fitzrovia, London, W1W 8TE. The school is situated upstairs from our studio and is easily accessible by public transport.

Accessibility

Our school is located upstairs in our studio. Unfortunately the building does not have lift access, so use of the stairs would be necessary.

Materials

All of the materials you need for this class will be provided for you as part of your course experience. You are more than welcome to bring your own equipment if you would rather use your own materials but everything will be provided for you.
