We loved creating these custom travel jewellery boxes for US based jewellery brand L'Heritage. Discover how Hand & Lock brought these beautiful pieces to life through our bespoke product development process.
Using our signature H&L travel jewellery boxes as a base template, we worked closely with L'Heritage founder Lauren to customise the boxes to her exact specifications. We altered the internal compartments to a new composition, giving more space for a large embroidery design on the bottom lining. We added extra embroidered details to the inside lid lining for a high end finish and of course each box is topped with a stunning fully embroidered lid. The finishing touch is the custom L'Heritage branded plates fitted to the outside of the box.
The travel jewellery boxes are made with a soft suedette lining and plush velvet exterior, machine embroidered with beautiful designs created by H&L. The intricately detailed designs are embroidered in silky viscose rayon and polyneon threads, highlighted with shimmering metallic detailing.
So, how does it work if you want to develop an embroidered product with us?
In this instance L'Heritage came to us with an idea, inspired by our own travel jewellery boxes and wanting to create their own custom designs. H&L handled the rest including:
Designing: H&L created the bespoke artworks for L'heritage using inspiration and references from the client.
Design Review: We produced comprehensive technical design packs for the client to review and approve.
Digitising: Once the artworks were approved, we expertly translated them into digital embroidery design files, selecting each and every stitch.
Sampling: We spent time sampling the designs to achieve the highest quality finish possible, exploring the best options for colour and stitch. In this case we sampled the fully factored product.

Sample Review: The final samples were presented to the client for approval. At this stage we discussed any possible additions or alterations to make the final product just perfect.
Production: Once the samples were approved, H&L handled the bulk production process, expertly managing lots of moving parts including the material sourcing, embroidery production, box production and shipping.
Quality Control: Finally, the boxes go through our rigorous quality control review to ensure each and every piece is up to standard.
