A classically trained embroiderer with a passion for embroidery and textile art, Daisy attended the prestigious Royal School of Needlework where she graduated with a First class Honours in Hand Embroidery. As a creative, Daisy applies traditional embroidery techniques in contemporary design and specialises in three dimensional forms of embroidery including sculptural goldwork and raised work/stumpwork.
Alongside her professional practice developing embroidered textile works that explore the viewer's interaction with and experience of embroidery in the home, Daisy has worked on projects with renowned names in fashion such as Loro Piana and Alexander McQueen.
As a Tutor in the education department at Hand & Lock, Daisy is passionate in being a custodian of the craft and ensuring the continuation of traditional hand embroidery techniques through teaching. Daisy is dedicated to helping students feel confident and supported in their learning journeys at the Hand & Lock School for Embroidery and Creative Arts.
