Kitsune

Kitsune (‘fox’; Japanese) tells the story of a mythical fox, guided on a journey of self-discovery by a magical star in the sky. The dress’s old-Hollywood silhouette and filmstrip’s polaroid dress-approach create a whimsical balance between old and new.
Born in Belgium with great fascination for science, Dorine Leenders accidentally stumbled into the embroidery world by fixing her husband’s jeans. She noticed stabbing things was not too shabby and tumbled further into the textile-art rabbit hole. Living high in the Utahn mountains, she indulges in the use of vibrant colors to counter the lack of oxygen and endless blue winters.
