“The Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery was established in 2000, aspiring to provide passionate and emerging embroiderers with a vital platform to showcase their talents and gain life-changing exposure. We believe that it is fundamental to acknowledge and support contemporary embroidery talent, recognising the importance of craft within today’s culture and society, and solidifying that recognition for future generations to come”

The Prize Exhibition 2024

Hand & Lock is proud to celebrate the 24th edition of the prestigious Prize for Embroidery. This annual event honours the remarkable artistry and expertise behind the craft, providing a platform to showcase both established and emerging talents from across the globe.

We invite you to join us in experiencing the 2024 finalists’ creations in person, where you can explore their unique interpretations of this year’s theme: “Traces of Transition: Embroidery that illuminates the layers of our lives.”

The exhibition spans two floors, featuring an array of embroidery art and fashion pieces, including works by the 24 finalists, recipients of the associate awards, and a special creation by Hand & Lock. Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity, held in the heart of London, a short walk from the Hand & Lock Studio and Shop.
