You’ll learn key goldwork techniques, focusing on creating delicate bubbles and the intricate details of the glasses. Using only gold threads, you’ll craft a sparkling design that captures the celebratory essence of champagne, adding texture and shine to bring the design to life. Through high-resolution cameras and expert guidance, this interactive session allows you to follow along closely and receive personalised support as you work on your piece. Techniques & Breakdown

This exciting taster class offers a beautiful intro into the art of goldwork embroidery, starting from the very basics of the technique. Our expert tutors will guide you through fundamental skills, including threading a needle, applying Pearl Purl, Cutwork and attaching golden beads. (with tips and tricks from our tutors). Delve into the diverse characteristics and properties of various metal threads, followed by immersive instruction on their use, allowing you to bring to life an exquisite design that showcases your new found skill.

Materials & Kits

Before every taster course, we ensure that all students are fully prepared by providing a detailed kit list well in advance. This list includes all the materials and tools you'll need to participate in the session, along with direct links to recommended suppliers, making it easy for you to source everything ahead of time. You will need: Gold Pearl Purl, Yellow Gutermann’s Thread , Bright Check, Gold Seed Beads , Base fabric of 40x40cm, Embroidery Needles size 12, 10 inch Hoop and Embroidery Scissors.

Technical Information

Our online courses are delivered via Zoom using a high-quality visualiser for close-up stitching. We record each session so you can catch up or revise later. You’ll also be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group, where students and tutors can connect, share photos, ask questions and cheer each other on.

Shipping Information

All of the materials for your course will be shipped to you, unless otherwise stated in the product description.

UK Shipping - Parcels will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 3 days before the course start date, at the latest.

International Shipping - Parcels are shipped via express courier 2 weeks before the course start date, at the latest. If you book in the 2 week window, we cannot guarantee on-time delivery.

Additional Items in Your Order - If you place an order that includes both your course and other shop items, these will all be shipped together with your kit. If you would like non-course items sooner, please place a separate order.
