Lizzie Gray x Hand & Lock
Lizzie Gray, 1st place winner of The Prize for Embroidery 2023 in the Student Fashion category was also selected as the winner of the By Hand & Lock X Creative Collaboration competition. This exciting new competition allowed the winner to create a series of products for Hand & Lock inspired by their exhibited project.
'It has been a pleasure collaborating with Hand & Lock. What you see here is a follow-up from my previous collection 'Inside and Out', which explored the human condition through the use of anatomical imagery. To see my concepts reimagined through the lens of Hand & Lock has been amazing, as my unique style of mark making combined with Hand & Lock's elegance and attention to detail has created truly unique pieces of art, that I am extremely proud of.'
Inspired by her winning project 'Inside and Out' Lizzie designed this gorgeous Skull Brooch. Hand embroidered in shimmering silver bullion, coloured thread details and small beads on a black velvet background.
