Passing thread is one of the most versatile embroidery materials. It can be used for edging and for filling in shapes. Its delicate quality makes it very pliable meaning it can be used around even the smallest shapes.

This brilliant gold passing thread is an excellent alternative to our gold bullion thread. Composed of a single cotton thread wrapped in bright gold metal lurex we use it alongside bullion and bright check in our traditional goldwork.

Silver passing thread is also available.
