"I took a spoiled fruit and the short movie “Still Life” by Sam Taylor-Wood as an inspiration".

The “Decay” embroidery is a symbol of transformation. The transformation of personality under social standards. It’s a story about how something naturally beautiful can change because of our judgement and prejudice. To make it easier to understand I took a spoiled fruit and the short movie “Still Life” by Sam Taylor-Wood as an inspiration.

The fruit itself is beautiful and fresh, full of life and “colours”, but if to place it in the wrong environment, it can spoil, so can a personality. The original “colours” start to change and transform in something completely different. Of course, this transformation can bring it to a new beautiful life, but mostly social criticism is not intended as help.
This work reflects the dramatic decay moment.

For it I used hand embroidery techniques with glass beads, tulle ruffles and lace. This work includes the whole outfit: silk satin mini dress, silk satin hood and mule shoes.
