What does the Prize Giving Evening look like?

To celebrate the Prize finalists in 2023 Hand & Lock put on a three day public exhibition to celebrate The Prize for Embroidery, starting with the Prize giving evening. Here we had all the work on display for the judges to see and give their final marks on the evening. Nobody knew who the winners were until right up to the announcements! Which makes for a very exciting evening.

All of our finalists’ work was on display at the Prize giving evening, not only to our judges but also over 200 precious guests that visited on the night too. We opened the Design Trusts’ People Choice Award on the evening allowing the guests and visiting public (to exhibition) to vote for their favourite piece too.

We would love to share with you some of our amazing finalists and the work that they have created.
