Killing Eve

Machine Embroidery by Hand & Lock

The third series of Killing Eve has been available to stream in the UK exclusively on BBC iPlayer since Monday 13 April. The award-winning hit show stars Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw and is based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings.

The heavily anticipated third series continues the compelling cat and mouse story of two women with brutal pasts trying to live their lives without the other. That is, until a shocking death sets them on a collision course yet again.

Embroidery house, Hand & Lock, were approached in 2019 to produce multiple machine embroideries for an array of scenes in the hit show. Now, as much as we adore working on TV projects, the wait to see the embroidery is pretty unbearable and so often the key scenes get cut. Sometimes it’s even worse: the embroidery is out of shot, out of focus or on screen for a fraction of a nanosecond. So, with our expectations low, we patiently waited many months for the show to air.

Thankfully, we weren’t disappointed, Hand & Lock’s embroidery very much made the final cut. See the gallery below for pictures of work in progress and the final inclusion in the aired episodes.

Killing Eve series three streams weekly on BBC iPlayer from Monday 13 April and will air on BBC One from Sunday 19 April. Series one and two are available to watch now exclusively via BBC iPlayer.
