"This work was inspired by paintings of Gustav Klimt and Leonardo da Vinci"

This work was inspired by paintings of Gustav Klimt and Leonardo da Vinci. Based on their motives, I made my own collage and presenting you a result – “Madonna With a Chicken”. I wanted to combine gold ornaments and the classic woman portrait. I am an artist and that’s why

I love to embroider portraits, putting threads of different shades in thin layers on top of each other. This technique makes it possible to achieve invisible color gradients. I am embroidering on a regular sewing machine using the free motion embroidery technique.

This is a painstaking technique that requires a lot of concentration. The process itself is more like painting than embroidery.
