for the 2020 H&L Prize for Embroidery
Every September the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery begins its 14 month cycle concluding the following year in November.
The process starts with entrants registering though the H&L website and concludes with an exciting live judging in London.
If you are entering the 2020 Prize this page will remind you where we sit in the schedule and what deadlines or key dates are looming.
Detailed below are the all important deadlines for registering, uploading images of you work in progress and for submitting final physical pieces.

Online design upload portal is open for entrants to submit six images of their work and final designs. No physical work needs to be submitted at this stage, entrants are only required to send completed work if they become a finalist in the competition.
All entrants notified if they are through to the next round. You will be contacted by Friday 31st July 2020 and, if successful, allocated a mentor.
Final pieces must be received at the Hand & Lock studio in London by 5pm on Friday 11th September 2020.
Finalists, mentors, industry experts and press will be present. The vote is split between a judging panel and guests of the event voting for favourite entries.
