Bespoke Embroidery

The finest embroidery by the embellishment specialists

If you can imagine it, Hand & Lock can make it.

Bespoke embroidery experts, Hand & Lock specialise in a host of embroidery techniques including tambour beading, goldwork and silk shading. These techniques can be used in conjunction with one another to produce bespoke, dynamic and contemporary designs.

From haute couture and theatrical costumes to customised suits and branded accessories, give us a brief and and see your concept brought to life. Using inventive materials in unique and exciting ways is our specialism and nothing is outside the realm of possibility.

Since the 1950s, European fashion houses have called upon the services of S. Lock & Co, and later H&L to offer the finest bespoke embroidery on their showstopping pieces. High profile commissions come from Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Pringle of Scotland, Mary Katrantzou and Tom Ford.

Bespoke embroidery, from the embroidery masters.

The process starts with a visit to meet your designer at our central London studio. They will listen to your ideas and present relevant designs and samples. The H&L team can work from a fully annotated design or collaborate closely with you from a brief, an idea or a theme. Your dedicated H&L designer will then create an embroidery draft for your approval, making changes and alterations where required.

When you are satisfied, your embroidery will be produced by our team of highly skilled and experienced embroiderers. With heritage, experience and an unparalleled understanding of the possibilities of bespoke embroidery, H&L are on hand to help you realise your design ambitions.
