Our Contemporary Beading workshop is your chance to take traditional embroidery techniques including Tambour beading and produce contemporary 3d designs with folding sequins, bugles and strings of beads. Students will get a taste of how to create dynamic textures in this special one day workshop.

Hand & Lock are now running one day workshops sharing our impressive know how and experience in this field. This is a rare chance to visit our central London Atelier and learn from a highly experienced master.

The class is suitable for beginners. The class covers the basics, insider tips and practical application making sure students are fully equipped to go on and apply monograms to their own garments and develop their own unique styles.

Throughout the day, students will learn the following:

– 3D designs with folding sequins

– Bugles

– Strings of beads

– Applique

– Ribbon work

In this class, students will be working with an Abstract Design. All materials are provided by Hand & Lock and students are able to take the embroidery pack home.
