250th anniversary Gala Dinner & Charity Auction

Hand & Lock, embroidery house to the British Royal Forces, top international design houses and the Royal Family can trace it’s origins back to 1767 when a French Huguenot refuge started his lace and accoutrements business in London’s Spitalfields. 250 years later the company has added to their extensive list of embroidery services; in 2017 we are known for couture embroidery, exquisite monogramming as well as ceremonial, tradition and ecclesiastical embroideries. To mark our 250th anniversary you are invited to join us for a Gala Dinner and auction. The evening’s festivities will be held at the prestigious Draper’s Hall, in the city of London.

The evening commences with a champagne and canapé reception before guests sit down to a specially prepared three course meal in the spectacular Livery Hall. After dessert and coffee, Sotheby’s will host our charity auction. We will be taking live bids on the night for a selection of our, one-of-a-kind embellished designer bags, as well as virtual bids for the remaining bags. All funds raised on the night will go directly to supporting craftsmanship in the UK through the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery. Join us this December and help support the next generation of skilled crafts men and women.
